BEA has released a new web portal on the ocean and Great Lakes economy. The new portal provides examples of how the Regional Input-Output Modeling System (RIMS II) can be used to examine questions related to the development of resources that the oceans and Great Lakes provide.
The four new examples provide step-by-step instructions on how RIMS II can most effectively be used for a number of common applications. They also provide a preview of the type of material that is being developed for a new RIMS II User's Guide, which is expected to be released this fall.
For more information, please contact the RIMS II staff at 202-606-5343 or rims@bea.gov or visit the new web portal at www.bea.gov/regional/docs/noaa.cfm.
