Oilbarrel Weekly Roundup 25th April - 2nd May 2013 Weekly Review Oilbarrel did not hold a conference in April. This was partly because one of our sister companies held its Master Investor conference at the Design Centre in Islington, which was well worth the effort. Master Investor had become stale in the past couple of years. This year it was a sparkling success. With Jim Mellon the Chairman of Rivington Street Holdings, the ultimate owner of Oilbarrel, leading a strong cast of speakers. The gathering attracted a record audience of more than 2,000 investors. A good time was had by all. The Oilbarrel conference scheduled for May 16 is therefore our Spring Party, so to speak. It is to be hoped that by the 16th there will be a period of sustained sunny good weather rather than the spasmodic warm days here and there we have being witnessing. There is nothing like a bright sunny day to get investors to have a flutter.  Moreover if spring is a time of fresh starts and renewal then the card assembled so far is appropriate. Nighthawk was once an AIM favourite, but it spectacularly fell from grace with the share price collapsing from over 100p to under 4p. The reason for the fall was, to put it politely, the company was badly served by the operator the privately owned, Denver-based Running foxes. Ndew management was brought in early in 2012 and acquired the operatorship.
