Oilbarrel Weekly Roundup 28th November - 5th December 2012 Weekly Review Our next conference on Tuesday December 11 will be the last one in 2012, our 56th in all and the second at our new/old venue of The Brewery in Chiswell Street . This is where Oilbarrel.com’s first conference was held back in 2004 and where just 79 delegates turned up. Our return to the Brewery on  November 13 was probably the most successful we have ever held with  450 people registered to attend and  320 people through the door. Next Tuesday we have another, if not as extensive card, of companies presenting. They should all b e of great interest to our attendees. AIM newcomer Fastnet Oil & Gas got off to a racing start in 2012, quickly bagging the prospective Foum  Assaka block offshore Morocco and untested acreage in the Celtic Sea. Last Month it raised £15 to support its drilling plans in Morocco. Green Power Energy supplies the latest renewable energy products from solar to LED lighting to rainwater harvesting, to help companies reduce their carbon footprint and energy bills. ASX-quoted Jacka Resources has interests in Australia and Africa, where it has projects in Tunisia, Nigeria and Somaliland. Closer to home it has a 15 per cent interest in an exploration block in the Exmouth Basin offshore Australia. Providence Resources is a great Oilbarrel conference favourite. The AIM quoted company has been the catalyst behind the Irish offshore renaissance. Its Barryroe oilfield in the Celtic Sea has confounded all expectations while a series of playing opening wildcats are lined up for 2013 and 2014. News: December 04, 2012 New World Oil & Gas Rallies As Its Belize Well Confirms Deeper Oil Potential Shares in AIM-quoted New World Oil and Gas jumped 18 per cent to 10.5 pence on Thursday as the explorer provided another positive updated on its maiden well in Belize.  The Blue Creek-2 well was drilled in the proven producing Peten Basin in the northwest of the country, originally to test the shallow Y1 and Y2 formations to keep drilling costs low and put the AIM company on a fast-track to first production. News: December 04, 2012 Tangiers Petroleum Brings In The Portuguese And Chinese For High Impact Drilling Offshore Morocco And Australia Tangiers Petroleum has been on the hunt for farm-in partners for its flagship projects in Morocco and Australia and on Monday announced it had bagged partners for both.  The news failed to impress the markets, however, and shares in the AIM-quoted explorer dipped 16 per cent to 25 pence. News: December 03, 2012 La Dolce Vita: Sound Oil On Cusp Of First Gas In Italy After a couple of difficult years life is looking a lot sweeter for Sound Oil, which now stands on the cusp of first gas in Italy.  As oilbarrel.com regulars will be only too aware, Italy has been something of a slow walk to nowhere for small cap oils as glacial bureaucracy and reams of red tape push out timelines to first production, straining finances and investor patience.  Yet there are signs that Italy has even lost patience with itself as the reckoning of a troubled economy and increasingly expensive energy imports have created an inflexion point where it is now keen to stimulate domestic production.  Already some operators are beginning to report an an increased appetite to process paperwork. With the ailing share price brought back to life by recent drilling results – at 17 pence, the shares have almost tripled since the summer when they were bumping six pence – the AIM and TSX-quoted company has quite rightly seized the opportunity to strengthen its capital resources so it can accelerate the work rate at Bone Spring.
