Minesite Weekly Roundup 25th June - 2nd July 2013 Dear Minesite subscriber, Weekly Review So the first mining IPO on the main board in London since late 2011, Sibanthracite, looks like it will get away shortly, as a US$200 million raise is now in progress. Six months ago, you would have said that the next major raise in London would surely have been in gold, purely on the basis that gold was the only commodity anybody still had any real faith in. Now though, that last certainty's been shot away and the markets, particularly at the junior end look bleaker than ever. So what are we to make of this new listing? Sibanthracite has a premium coal product, and 15 per cent of the global market at that. That makes it a bit special, and gives the marketing men something to work with. It's also already profitable, and has made strong assurances about dividends. These are things the market needs to hear. The pricing also needs to be right, and there should be no glitches or hiccups, because August-  an inauspicious time to list a company - is almost upon us. All-in-all though, this one will be closely watched. Will it be two years again before the next major IPO comes along.
