News: September 17, 2013 Bridge Energy Speared By Spike Energy For £103 Million As Analysts Suggest There Are More Deals To Come In The North Sea Shares in Bridge Energy closed 28 per cent higher on Monday after the North Sea E&P announced a recommended £103 million cash bid from private equity-backed Norwegian start-up Spike Exploration.  The price tag represents a 40 per cent premium on AIM-quoted Bridge's share price prior to the offer and has the backing of the Board and some of its largest shareholders. News: September 12, 2013 IGas Energy Moves Offshore As It Buys Inner Moray Firth Assets From Caithness Oil And Trapoil IGas Energy may not have had much success with its coal bed methane business, which never really took off, but the AIM-quoted company has shown itself to be a canny deal-maker.  A series of acquisitions have transformed the small cap CBM developer into a credible producer that is now starting to throw off some serious cash from its onshore oilfields as well as positioning itself as a shale gas pioneer in the UK.
